Ran out to the intersection on Sunday, October 31. Water temp out there was 79 degrees. Vis at first rig was maybe 50'. Nothing but endangered amberjack. Actually so many of them that you couldn't see anything else. Be glad when they populate enough to make the feds happy.
2nd group in at a different platform found some lobsters and some grey snappers. And AJ's.
My second dive found lots more endangered aj's and a bunch of sharks. Looked like Silky's and they were very curious. Got within 15' of me on the safety stop.
Third dive 32 miles out. Vis was a whopping 3'-4'. Yes, that is not a typo. Water temp 77.
Any day on the water is a good day, but I would rather have been deer hunting.
Any one else get out lately? |

So I guess be working that day at the shop wasn't too bad since I didn't have to get up early. Plus how many people can say they got to caught a turtle inside the sho. _________________ Michael L. Baranowski |
